Starting to hear Jingle Bells

Hey Everyone! New news! So I got that call back, and I now have a job at West County Animal Hospital!! I am so excited to start! My boss told me to wear something I wouldn't mind getting blood or other-stuff-that-might-stain on. Little does she know my Mom was an RAHT (view last post to find the meaning) so I have many smocks to wear :) On Friday I went to see the new art gallery and library in town. It is the second largest art gallery in all of Alberta, Canada! It sort of smelled like paint :P but it was really neat! One of the displays there was a short clip that ran in a loop of a kitten trying to hang from a tree branch without falling off. The artist took the clip sideways though so it looked like the cat was being blown off the branch (NOTE: The kitten was not harmed in the making of the piece).

Today we went out a cut down a tree to put in our living room as a Christmas Tree! It is a beautiful pine tree. It is very hard to find "wild" trees that look nice in the area that I live in. We have a lot of swamp spruce which are very spindly! So tomorrow we will put on some Christmas music and sing and decorate our tree :) One tradition that we have is we always listen to "Country Heat Christmas" as our music while we decorate! This way we can all sing the songs together because they are burned in our minds :P Another tradition that we do is we always have a tall glass of mimosa (champagne and orange juice) on Christmas morning. It cleans out the guckiness and majorly lessens bad breath :) One more thing, we do not use stockings. They are too small and it is hard to put things in them. We have, what we call, Santa Sacks. They are about double the width of a stocking and the top opens wide so it is easy to put things in and take them out! What are some of your Christmas traditions?

YAY! Basketball and Animals and Acting!

Hey Guys! Sorry this has been a slow month but there are two big events I am going to tell you about!
Yesterday, at my school, we had the Harlem Crowns come in to play basketball against our boys team! It was so hilarious!! They pulled a number of stunts on our team and kicked our butts! If you don't know what they are give them a youtube search! They were pretty great and we made lots of money for our Travel Club fundraiser! Also, about a week ago I applied to college! Crazy huh?! I applied to Fairview Campus (of Grande Prairie Regional College) for the Animal Health Technology program! I was so nervous and last night, I said to my parents "What if I don't get in?". They were like, "go take drama like you want to do" :)
Well today I come home and I look on the table and there is an envelope labelled GPRC, Guess what that stands for?! I got conditionally accepted!! This means I have a seat as long as I pass everything I need to and also get 40 hours of volunteer work under a RAHT (Regestered Animal Health Technologist) or veterinarian! That will be easy because today I took my resume in to be viewed by the vet and I will get a call tomorrow!! I am just so super excited to go to college because I know it is something I am going to like and it is the beginning of my life! Also, this is a fall back in case acting doesn't work. I really want to go into theatre or just acting but it can be difficult to make a name for yourself! So this is my blurb I hope this satisfies the one person that actually reads my blogs. Thanks!

Volunteer Work and Poetry

Hey it's been awhile, again... lol So yesterday I went and talked to my neighbour about giving me a ride home after her work. Why did I bother doing this you ask? Well now that I have a spare in third block, I can volunteer at the vet clinic!!! WOOT! So as soon as possible I am going to take a resume in and see how many hours I can get :D I am super excited. My mom used to work in a vet clinic so I kind of already know what goes on there, so I am super excited! As I have already elaborated :P

So my new topic is Poetry. I love writing poetry and I have been meaning to start this for a while now but I wasn't in a writing mood. Today, however, I wrote a nice long poem! and I might put a shorter one in too, Or maybe I will put the short one in today.... haha! I just found another poem I wrote today that I forgot about so I will put this one up. Can you guess the three views it is written from? *HINT each stanza is a different view
            DESPERATION ON ALL ENDS

I feel this need, this want
            Desperation for just a taste
A taste of what it's like
            To be felt for

            Prospective contenders
            They come and go
            But never do they see
            That beautiful glow

            She watches me close
            I love it, although
            My love for another grows
I don't want to tell her no.

SORRY about my life getting in the way!!

Hey everybody, I am so sorry I haven't written in so long I have been very busy! I passed my math on October 24 with a 52% in my overall course mark. No I am currently working on rewriting my Chemistry 30 diploma exam. My overall course mark in Chem. was a 55% but the college I hope to apply for demands a 65% in the course, as long as I focus and work hard though I am positive I can do way better than a 65% :) I am in one of those moods where I am very content and I have this great attitude where I can do anything I need or want to! I have started reading again (I haven't read like I have been in a couple years) and I have kept up with my homework easily :D My friends and I have worked out a song we can sing together for graduation :) It is called Walk on the Water by Britt Nicole. It is a Christian song, and I am not Christian but I love this song! Also, today we had our 4-H weigh in. This is an event where everyone takes there steers and heifers to be weighed. My steer was a bottle baby, the man we got him from told us we wouldn't get him anywhere near 500 lbs. Well, his weight as of right now is 586 lbs!! :D Things have been kinda weird with people at school though lately, it seems the only people who actually want to talk to me are Jessica and Brittany. A couple weeks ago I went on a sort of date with the guy I dated before, and I had a lot of fun. We had supper with his family, I already knew his family so it was all good. After that I really missed hanging out with him, because by the end of last year we didn't hang out much anymore. So I made a point of sitting at his table with him and his friends and say hey when I see him but it has been weird because he suddenly stopped talking to me and looking at me. I don't know if I did something wrong but I have been sort of giving him some space. Last year the guy I really, really liked did this same thing to me, I don't know if he just didn't like me or what. Anyways, for Halloween I was a cat :) I really liked my costume because it was cute and it literally took me half an hour to find the right outfit :) Only because I really wanted to wear this one skirt that I didn't have the right shirt for.  Also, I haven't been to cadets in a month! I feel really bad because being a senior member I should be there for my cadets, but my parents refuse to drive in the horrid road conditions. However, next weekend is Remembrance Day, and it is a huge deal for the cadets. They put me on cenotaph again :) which I like. Basically, four of us cadets all stand on the corners of this big stone that was placed in honour of our fallen soldiers and we look down with a rifle, barrel-down, on one boot standing perfectly still. I am not gonna lie I love being paid attention to. I don't have to be the center of attention but I love to be a part of it. Also, I feel that Remembrance Day wouldn't be complete without cenotaph guards, they have been there every year as long as I can remember, and I am proud to be a part of that. Anyways, that is all my news for now, I decided to do a normal post because I had a bit to say. So long, til tomorrow!

Disney Rocks!

I just realized it has been almost a week since I last wrote to you guys!! D: So its Tuesday and normally I would have cadets but I can't go tonight. It is 1 1/2 hours each way for us and the roads are really bad so my parents won't drive, besides I really should have been doing my math. I got half way through my unit final today. Everything from radicals, to extraneous roots to absolute value functions!  I am pleased to say though that I feel good about this test. :)  Today I feel a new sense of "I am going to be the best I can be". I had a Biology test, an essay (one of those ones where you can write down a few ideas, but no more than that before you write the essay) and started my math unit test. I just blared through the essay like there was no tomorrow. I spent almost exactly 2 hours on it. I better get a fairly decent mark. I usually get in the 60% range for essays.

So, my topic of the day is The Lion King! In my opinion, one of The Best Disney movies ever! If you don't know what it is about, then here is a synopsis: Simba, a lion prince, is told that when Mufasa, his father, dies that he will become king. Mufasa's brother was supposed to be king before Mufasa had a child. Out of rage, Scar (Mufasa's brother) sets out to kill Simba and Mufasa in order to become king.  I love this movie because no matter how old you are it is still both touching and entertaining :) What are some of your favourite scenes from this classic? If you haven't seen it, definitely rent or download or something 'cause it's great!

Math Cram+Leonardo DiCaprio=Distraction

Hey, Guys! Sorry I haven't updated in a few days >.< I just got kinda busy with life lol :P So the last couple of days have been sort of weird. I am super stressed about my math. Last year I failed Math 20-1 (Math 11, the more difficult stream) So, this year I am taking credit class which allows me to pass the course without re-taking the whole thing. All I have to do is two units. The problem is the term ends in 2 weeks and I have a unit and a half yet (10 sections) x( I am so dumb for not trying hard. Anyways, so now I am having a math cram for the next two weeks!

In Film Studies, we watched the movie called "The Aviator". It is the story of Howard Hughes, a movie director and aviator from the late 1920's. It outlines how he became famous and the risks he took as well as his downfalls and a how determined he was to do everything he said he ever would. Howard Hughes is played by Leonardo DiCaprio. At the moment I really love this movie, I love that it is a real story. There is a disorder that Howard Hughes had and I find every scene in this movie that shows it is somewhat fascinating. I love watching people and seeing how they react when we watch something. Especially if I know what is happening next. If my family watches a movie that I have seen I find that I am more focused on their facial expressions than I am on the movie. :P It must be awkward for them!

Cattle Processing

So yesterday was a busy day. My family and I went to our neighbours to process calves. This involves sorting, giving vaccines, castrating if necessary, tagging and dehorning. We were also picking out cattle for ourselves to buy from our neighbour. We are finally starting our own herd! While we were sorting out our cattle from our neighbours some of the cattle got past the guys. I started pushing them back and all was going well until this heifer decided that she didn't want to go that way. She turned around and tried to jump over me. She half landed on my arm knocking me over. Now I have this killer bruise! After we were done sorting we had to run them into the chute, one-by-one. When we got to the bull calves we had to castrate them. The first one went fine except he rolled onto m step-dad's boot and pulled it off his foot lol. The next two bulls, not so easy. The second one was going fine until he suddenly tensed up and kicked! My neighbour got it right into the jaw and it clipped his glasses, breaking the frame.  We figured the other one was smaller so we ran it into the chute too. This one was crazy! When we got him onto the ground it was a mad rush to castrate him! Every 5 seconds or so he would tense up and try to roll over. When we finally let him up, he went to run off and was accidentally redirected right at my step-dad! He ran right into my step-dads gut and knocked him over! My step-dad is 6ft and strong! (and remember, these are calves, not full grown). We decided that the last bull wasn't worth it lol It was quite a day!

Weekly Events, Diary Style :)

Hey, Everyone! So I meant for this blog to be like a public diary but so far I havent really been following that format xD So this week has been sort of fun and exciting for me! On Wednesday I was just super happy to be everywhere doing everything I was at school, which is kind of wierd 'cause usually I am somewhat nonchalant about the whole school thing lol. But I think it was because "The Ring Man" was coming the next day :) and I finally had a chance to make sure that the ring I wanted was the ring I wanted (if that makes any sense :P). Then Thursday came and I went and watched Jessica skate then went to her house. It was so cute. Jessica was teaching this little girl how to skate, and she got the girl skating by herself. Well, that little girl was soo excited she started yelling to her mom "Look Mommy! I'm walking!!!" (yes she did say walking xD) Then she lost her balance and fell on her butt and started crying :( but it was so adorable! Anyways, we had supper then it was time to go to the school. I saw the ring I chose and I ended up going with the one I designed initially. Jessica, however, couldn't decided which ring she wanted :P it took her 45 minutes. lol That's okay because it gave me something to do until my Dad got there. ( he was an hour late) lol.

I had this crazy dream on Wednesday or Tuesday night! I was just smoking and stuff, and in my dream I had always smoked, for as long as I could remember. (I don't actually smoke)  I remember taking a drag and then realizing that I had been telling everyone that I was a non-smoker, when really I had been smoking all along. Then I started to worry "what if my parents found out!?". haha wierdest dream I have ever had.

Anyways, so yesterday I had to go into the math class at my school for my fourth block because our teacher was away and instead of getting a sub she sent the 6 of us to math. I am actually working on math in that class. Being in that class yesterday gave me a new incentive to actually work harder on my math. It has been 6 weeks and I have only done a chapter and a half. Thats bad. Anyways I am going to find time this weekend and attempt to finish most of the chapter.

Also this weekend we are getting cattle from our neighbors. I am somewhat excited, I don't know how I should take it yet. At this point though it kind of seems like another chore (yeah, I'm kinda lazy :P). I don't know we will have to wait and see. This guy whom I have nicknamed "Auswegian" thinks cows are great, and so do my parents, so they can't be that bad :) I have my own 4-H steer right now, and he is a pain in the butt! haha   Well that's it for now, I gotta see if I can somehow change my layout for my blog. Do you think that it's boring??

Biology and Country Music

Good Evening, Everyone!! Yesterday, I learned some thing really cool! In biology, we watched this video. It was called "Why Sex?". It basically covers why it is important to have a man and a woman to conceive children. You need to share chromosomes with someone else to create a child because it is better for their health. Basically, if everyone has a different  composition of genes then it is less likely for disease and sicknesses to travel. Lets take H1N1 for example, some people caught H1N1 and got terribly sick while others caught it and didn't end up being very sick. This is because our immune systems are different due to the difference in genes in each individual. That is also the reason that if your children come home from school and become sick you are very likely to catch the sickness as well because your immune systems are alike.  The video also talked about the nature of men and women and how they look compared to the kind of relationship that is sought. The  scientists in the video took 7 different women and showed them pictures of men's faces. The studies came up that when the women were asked to find a man they would be most likely to have a short term relationship with, they picked a very masculine looking man. When asked to find someone they think would be suitable for a long-term relationship they most often picked men who had "softer" eyes and less defined jaw bones. So basically a gentler looking man as apposed to a more aggressive looking man. I thought that was pretty neat!

Lately I have become a little obsessed with a song called "Fishin' in the Dark" by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. I really like their music because it is the kind of country that almost anyone who likes country will like.  It also  makes a great line dance! ***A TIP FOR THE MAN**** Most women love a man who can dance very well :) To me, it just makes them that much more attractive. ;) haha Another song I have been listening to a lot lately is "Stay" by Sugarland. It is a song that I instantly fell in love with when it first came out 5 years ago last month. It is about a woman who is tired of being with a man who is married. Many people did not like this song because the lead singer in Sugarland has a somewhat nasal voice.

Grad Year!

Hey, Everyone!! I just really want to share my excitement with you about this being my last year of high school!!!! All year I have just been really pumped! Tonight, I actually went to my school and purchased a grad ring!!! I am so uber excited about it!! I went on jostens.com and designed my own ring about a week ago and I immediately loved it. I saw the price and new I was getting it! I asked my Dad though if he could pay for some of it. He agreed to pay for half. So we went to the meeting tonight and "The Ring Man" had a whole bunch of the ring models (samples) and the ring I wanted to get was there. It looks amazing!!! My Dad went to put the deposit down but instead of doing that, he payed for the ring in full!!! I didn't have to pay for any of it!!! XD I could scream I am so excited! So my ring will be here on my hand in about 6-8 weeks! Here is a picture, it is not as big as it seems.

I can't wait to go dress shopping! I am a little bit nervous about an escort though. I don't know who would ask me (if anyone) or even if I would want to go with them. Also, what do you do if a guy asks you to be his escort but you really do not want to be? Hmm, being a teenager is soooo hard :P  So far though this is my favourite dress that I have looked at online.

My Doggies :D

Hey, Y'all! I decided that I have blogged about my cats, so why not my dogs?! I love my dogs, they are all so cute ^.^ I hope you think they are as cute as I do!

First and oldest is our Collie/Lab cross, Mickey. We live on a farm so she is our number one protector of the land! She is nine, almost 10, years old. She loves people,  as long as they aren't being suspicious. She stays up night and day barking at things that cross our land such as coyotes, rabbits and foxes! I love her, when you pet her, she "talks" to you! Our guard dog!
Mickey
Next on the list is Tink. Tink is short for Tinker Bell. Tink is a Maltese/Terrier cross (we don't know what type of terrier). She also only has one eye. Tink has what we would like to call "Little-Dog Syndrome". She thinks she's 10 feet tall and bulletproof when it comes to enemies or other dogs. Her previous owners had her and two other larger dogs. One day, they went to work and when they came home Tink's left eye was literally hanging out of her eye socket. The owners brought her into the clinic my Mom worked at and they tried to fix it. We brought her home with her eye sewed shut and looked after her for a few days while we hoped her eye would be recovered. It didn't, once the stitches were taken out her eye looked like sheep eye (the pupil was a sideways rectangle). The owner's wanted to just put her down, not even take her to the SPCA. However, my Mom and her boss convinced them to let my Mom take her home. We payed for the surgery and now she is a lovely and loyal pet. :)
Tink and Chiquita (Beeta)
Next is Chiquita. Chiquita (said Chickeeta), or we call her Beeta, is a Rat Terrier. Although she looks like a Chihuahua, don't get that confused with the long snout and long legs.  Beeta is a ball of energy! She loves to get excited almost every time you look at her! When she gets excited, she "dances" on her toes. Have you ever seen "Happy Feet"? Yes, that is what she does :) so cute. She also loves her blanky, it can be 30 degrees Celsius outside (For all you Americans out there, that is hot for my area) and she would still want to be under a blanket! Beeta was also a "rescue" dog. When she was 2 years old, her previous owners were too lazy to take her down 2 flights of stairs for her to go outside. What they did was put her on the roof of the second floor balcony. She either jumped or fell from the roof and broke her right-front leg. She spent three days in -25 degrees Celsius (that is cold!!)  weather by herself in her very short hair coat. A woman found her and brought her into the clinic. The owners, a WEEK, later asked the SPCA if anyone had found there dog. They were notified that their dog had been brought to the clinic, but they may not have her back. Meanwhile, The Biscuit Fund had covered the cost of Chiquita's leg plate and surgery and awarded her the 2009 SPCA Animal Courage Award, she shared this award with a cat. Since the owners were no longer allowed to be in possession of any animals, we brought in Chiquita and gave her a better home.

The last and youngest dog we have is Jewel. She is a Saint Bernard/Great Pyrenees cross. Jewel is also the dumbest acting clever dog you will ever meet!  She has this walk that I have never seen another dog do in my whole life! She sort of saunters around but when she comes up to you to play she walks almost sideways! Jewel is only 2 years old so she hasn't quite grown up yet :P but she sure make a good guard dog! She follows Mickey everywhere constantly watching what she is doing and then copying her. For a while after we got her and started putting her outside she wouldn't leave the deck at night. We thought surely that she would never leave the deck at night, ever! Until one night we heard this ferocious barking coming from our yard along with Mickey so Mom got up and shined the flashlight and sure enough, it was Jewel! Of course, as soon as she saw Mom she was right up on the deck looking for lovings. For a long time she wouldn't move for vehicles. When we took the quad out we would have to go the speed of her trot because she would not move even if we just sped up! She is a quick learner, despite her dumb habits (some she has broken) :P Here is our sweetheart!
Jewel
Don't forget to donate to your local SPCA's and if you want or need a new pet, look for a rescue before you buy from a store, a stray can make just as good a pet as a brand new puppy from the pet store!

Air Cadets!

Good Evening, Everybody! How are all of you going? Today was good day, but it was long. The first day of school after a 4 day weekend is always long though :) I usually go to Air Cadets on Tuesdays. I am a part of the 353 Mile Zero Squadron. I have been since I was 12. I love it! If the is a squadron near you then go ahead! Try it! At cadets we march, we learn, we help and we make new friends! My favourite parts of cadets is band and drill. In band, I played the snare drum. I really enjoy it because it is something I am good at but also still have to work at. Also, it is not something that if you mess up everyone knows. You can play and if you end up off beat a little you can quickly correct yourself without anyone noticing! Drill is also one of my favourite activities at cadets. Drill is marching. I like it because it is also something very quick to learn but can always be improved. When it is done right, It looks amazing! Could you imagine 20 people all doing the same thing at the exact same time in the exact same way?! It is so awesome, and there are competitions to go to, to show other squadrons what you've got! Anyways, I didn't go yesterday :( and it was a sports night too! I wasn't very excited about it last week but when my sergeant reminded me on Sunday I was pumped!!!  Then my social teacher gave us this big project :( "My History Hero" I had to pick someone from before WW1 and answer 10 questions in paragraph form on them. So that's how I spent my Tuesday night. How did you spend yours?

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Happy Thanksgiving, Everybody!!! I have always loved Thanksgiving. I like it because it is a great reason to spend time with your family and visit and inquire about how their years have gone! My Thanksgiving was great! My grandparents came and visited and my aunt and uncle and their kids came out and had supper with us (a few times :P). Last night we had a wonderful turkey dinner, and two very delicious pies (that I made :P). I have often wondered what Thanksgiving is really about? In elementary school you learn that you have to be thankful, and that you eat turkey and pumpkin pie, etc. Well I decided to look it up!
On January 31, 1957, Canadian Parliament announced "A Day of General Thanksgiving to Almighty God for the bountiful harvest with which Canada has been blessed – to be observed on the 2nd Monday in October."

Thanksgiving, in Canada, is the celebration of a good harvest and other things during the year.  It was brought over from Europe as the Oktoberfest. A celebration involving singing hymns and reading verses from the bible that relate to the Jewish holiday Sukkot. (click to read what it is) Now it is seen as a day where people get together with friends and family to give thanks for the food they were able to buy and to give thanks for being safe and alive. It is also seen as a weekend to get away.

This has nothing to do with Thanksgiving but, last night my granny and I were looking at her pictures on her camera and she is about o turn it off when she says "Oh! Wanna see my studmuffin?" I looked at her and just started laughing and laughing! My granny said studmuffin! xD It was a picture of my grandpa in bright orange swim trunks, grey dress socks and her big sunglasses haha!! It was so funny!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

MRROOOOWW! ^.^

Hey, everybody! I want to post about my animals. I love animals soo much! My aspiration is to become a Registered Animal Health Technologist (RAHT), just like my mom! Most of my animals are what we call "rescues". We call them rescues because either people didn't want them or they were abandoned or the previous owners were unfit. I have 12 pets. I am starting with my kitties ^.^. I want to start with my cats because they are my favorite animal :3 My oldest cat is Jaxson. He is 25lbs and between 10 and 12 years old. When we moved into a house 8 years ago, he was there. He just hung around and lived in an old truck in my neighbours yard. He was very skinny so my mom called the SPCA but they were full. We began giving him food until the SPCA opened a spot. Mom told us if the SPCA does not have room by the time it snows we will take him in. Two months drifted by and the snow fell and the SPCA still did not have room. This is how we came to own him (or rather he owns us :P) He is the sweetest cat you will ever meet! I definitely consider him "mine". When I pick him up he hugs my neck and stares into my eyes. You can tell he is quite the ladies man haha!
Jaxson
The next oldest cat we have is a black and white domestic. Her name is Fiddlestix, and she is one special kitty :) She is completely blind and only has one eye.  She was born blind and was brought to the SPCA. She spent all of her kitten hood there until they brought her to the clinic to be put down (the SPCA was going to put her down because nobody was willing to take her home). My mom's coworkers were bugging her about nobody wanting this poor cat, "No one wants a blind cat, Jenn." lol So mom said "Oh fiddlesticks" and decided to bring her home. That is how she got her name. We were told that if she could not find the litter box or her food, then we would have to take her back and put her down. We let her do her own thing and about an hour later we noticed we hadn't seen her in a while. So we checked the litter box and food bowl we left for her and she was no where to be found. It turns out she was downstairs (two flights), she had used the other cats litter box and was eating his food (this was another cat we had at the time named Chip, we found Jaxson after we had Fiddlestix). A year later we noticed her eye was periodically getting weepy and she would scratch at it. The problem was that that eye was too small and her eyelid would fold in and make the eye become infected. We had the eye removed (since it was disfunctional anyways) and that solved the problem. Here she is! Aren't her whiskers great?!
Fiddlestix
The next cat I will introduce is Molly. She is a brown-grey tabby. She was brought into the clinic when she was just a kitten. A woman had found her in a snowbank. Her ears and tail were frozen! So, they looked after her and needed to find a home for her, but we didn't want to take in yet another animal (at this time we had 5). We managed to convince my grandparents to take her in. My grandpa was totally against the idea, he said "We don't need another animal". Eventually, like I said, we convinced him and she became one spoiled cat (My grandpa always spoils his animals :P) She had a very happy home, but she wasn't the most friendly cat around. About a year ago, my grandparents moved away and couldn't bring Molly with them so we took her in :) She is doing well, and by being around more animals and people (our household is much bigger) she has become much more sociable.
Molly

The last cat on the list is Ghost. She is also special, in more ways than one! First of all, she is all white with blue eyes. This combination of genes in cats, more often than not, leads to deafness (which Ghost is). She also had another owner before us. The lady who used to own her came to us because she could not stop Ghost from getting outside. Usually that wouldn't be a problem, except she lived in town and Ghost loved the warm pavement. So we took ghost in and she sometimes escaped outside but we always got her back in. Another thing about Ghost is that she is a little insane. Sometimes, she will just look off in the distance then take off chasing after something invisible! At night, she will do this for hours. Also she always thinks she is starving, yet she is fat. We give her her daily amount of food but you could swear by her behaviour we never feed her! Before bed, you have to give her a few crumbles of food or she will sit outside your door and very loudly meow for hours, or until you get up and give them to her. Our Beautiful Ghost. (sorry about the red eyes).
Ghost

Cellulitis D:

Blog 5! I am just rippin' away! :P Now that you know something about my past 2 years and a little more, I can start my day to day life. I sound like I'm cleaning xD So on Tuesday I developed this humongous pimple (the size of a nickel!) beside my nose. I was putting polysporin and Watkins medicated ointment on it, I was putting hot compresses on it and even cold compresses! It wasn't getting any better, in fact it was getting a bit more sore. My uncle came out to our house for thanksgiving and he was saying how my aunt got one and she had to go in and they put a needle in it and injected something that made it go away. I am TERRIFIED of needles, I actually legitimately have a phobia of needles. Anyways, I woke up this morning with swelling up to my eye and down to my nose :( My nose is actually somewhat pushed over! So I spent two hours in emergency at the hospital and finally the doctor came. I bleieve he was Iranian and had the best unibrow I have ever seen xD! He asked me if I scratched it, and I said yes. Then he asked me which hand. I lifted my hand and he slapped it! He told me "Don't do that!" LOL! He also said that we had to relieve the pressure as soon as possible and left. I was scared, I was sure he was going to bring a needle so I teared up and was about to cry. Then the doctor came in with only a prescription (Whew!) I was so glad! Now I have ointment, painkillers and anti-biotics. :) good combo! So that is the exciting bit of my day so far. Also, I am very sorry for a good friend of mine who is currently down on his luck. I hope his dog had great life and now it can be a young pup again :) It can only go up from here!

Grade 11.2

Hey Everyone!!! I want to begin post four by saying this, I love it out here! So far I have emphasized on the parts that have been not so great, but that is how I felt at the time. I just wanted to reinforce that for those of you who know me. I love this place and I am really glad we are here. :) Anyways, after the Australian boy I kind of fell into to this state of "whatever" haha. I had given up on boys (Boys are dumb, throw rocks at them :P JK). For about 4 months I really just hung out with Lacey and Jessica and helped them with their drama and exciting events etc. In March though, I really fell for this other boy. I met him in September on our bus and we talked every now and then, more often than not. I thought he was really cute but I didn't want that to be the reason I liked him, so I brushed it off. Little did I know I liked him a lot. When March came around I had finally realized that I thought about him all the time. So one night while I was thinking about him, I wrote a letter of confession. I didn't think I was actually going to give it to him , until I told Lacey and Jessica. They can convince me to do just about anything xD! So I did I brought it to school , but I was too chicken so Jessica gave it to him, but he knew it was from me before he read it. So third block Chemistry 30 rolls around, and I was so nervous I was shaking, literally. He looked at me but I just ducked away, blushing tremendously. Then he slipped me a note. It said "nice note". I was so surprised and happy all I could do was laugh and blush some more.  Lacey took it upon herself to ask one of his friends if he liked me and he said that he did, then she told me. After that I wanted to ask him if he actually did like me too, but I didn't want to be a pest or annoying or anything like that so I never did. Instead I wrote him two notes subtly hinting that he should tell me, but they were I guess too subtle because he didn't understand them. He actually said it kinda creeped him out >.< Way to go, huh? (this was in 3 weeks btw) We stopped talking for a little bit but it was like hide and seek. We caught each other looking at each other, all the time. This one time, I was in the gym with Lacey and I spun around her and glanced in the window of one of the offices and he was inside we just stared at each other for about 3 seconds and then I kept going. After that though, he stopped looking and talking to me. Then Lacey told me that he told another friend tat he didn't want a relationship, he wanted to go to college first (he was graduating). That was horrible, I still don't know why he just stopped all communication with me. It took me all summer to get over him, tbh I am not sure if I am even. I saw him the other day at my 4-H meeting, I wanted to talk to him but every time I looked he was talking to someone else. My mom said that he kept looking at me, now that I think of it he could have been looking at anyone in my general direction. Ah, well, it doesn't really matter now. I know that he was not meant for me, I guess God has other plans? That's all for this post! See ya!

After The Move

The summer after grade 10, I went to cadet camp (air cadets, representing the 353 Mile Zero Royal Canadian Air Cadets). I went to the Basic Survival Course (BSC). I had so much fun, I met new people, learnt new things and ate pre-packaged food (same as our soldiers). While I was there my family moved into my mom's fiances(now my step-dad) house. It is a very nice farm, I even have my own horse and steer out here! Anyways, it was just like how I started when I moved for the first time when I was 8, except I am more outgoing so I had a good friend in about a week. She rode my bus and we quickly became best friends, and we still are. She taught me new people, new classes and new teachers. I soon became fairly knowledgeable about my school and some of the people in it. The first time I spoke to her I asked her where a classroom was, I was standing right beside it >.< lol but we were in the same class which was cool :) but this summer she moved away 9 hours. Her family life got really bad,so she went to live with her biological mom. It really hurt her, especially because she loves her sister so much and as far as I know, she won't talk to her :( I also met this other girl, Jessica. She is just awesome and literally the sweetest girl you will ever meet! Lacey, Jessica and I quickly became the three amigos and our friendship took off! Sounds like a not bad place huh? Well in amongst this was depression, anger, sadness and longing. I spent 4 1/2 months crying each morning on my bus because I didn't want to face another day without Shae, Sabrina, Kelsey, Bailey and Breeann. It was horrible, I cried myself to sleep and I cried on the bus. Another thing that wasn't too bad about this place was the guys though (lol typical right? Well they are not pieces of meat so...) 3 days after school started, I got asked out. 3 days later I accepted. Justin is very nice and I like him, but the next night I broke it off. I was scared, my first boyfriend, and only after a week of being in a brand new school! He fought for me about a month or so after that, he asked a couple times and I told him I needed to get used to the new school. Eventually, we talked about it and we were almost dating again but he asked something and I couldn't hear him so I just said "yeah". Turns out he was saying that he had just been "friend zoned" hadn't he? I wanted to date him but accidentally told him that I just wanted to be friends :( that was hard because I didn't even know what friend zones were. A couple weeks after that I fell for this Australian boy. He had an accent from when he visited Australia and it kind of stuck. The first time I met him he was wearing our school mascot costume (Seymour the Beaver). His accent was the initial reason I fell for him, but as we began talking more and we got to know each other I started to fall for his words and his actions and the things he does. He took my breath away, sometimes he still does. I confessed my feelings to him once, and I believe he was going to ask me out, but the next day I got a text saying that he changed his mind. I cried, not gonna lie. He fell for one of my best friends, he fell hard. Things seemed pretty uneventful for a while after that. Goodnight, everyone!

The True Start

Hey, this is only post two but I want to seem more comfortable that business-like in my writing, so What's up?! I will start with my first move. When I was 8 years old, my parents split up and my mom, brothers and I all moved 14 hours away from where we were. It was all very confusing and I had no idea why we moved or where we went to. Being young I quickly fell back in the school routine and just continued on with my education. Throughout elementary school, I didn't really have friends. I was very shy and a bit socially awkward. I never really seemed to fit in with the people at school and I often ended up standing on the outside of circles listening to the latest stories. I am also not the thinnest, less so then. I was bullied a lot because I was an easy target, I was small, fat and incapable of standing up for myself. I met this one boy though and he was really nice to me, and I started to like him. A bunch of kids though started singing songs and teasing us for hanging out so much and kept saying we should date and stuff like that. Anyway, one day during Easter break I facebooked him and we were talking and so I asked him out, and he said no. Killed my self-esteem yet it was only grade 6 haha. Then came middle school. I went through grade 7, somewhat worried for my safety, as my teacher was creepy and I caught him looking down my shirt once. I actually found out last year that he got fired for having young porn on his school laptop, awesome eh? Anyways, in grade 8 was when I made my first real Amazing friends Shae, Sabrina and Kelsey (I actually met Kelsey in grade 4 but we didn't become friends until grade 8). They severely improved my life, literally the whole thing. I had someone to walk to school with and hang out with at lunch. In grade 9 I met two more amazing friends, Bailey Ann and Breeann. I am still great friends with all 5 of these people. They all impacted my life and helped remove me from my shell. My all-time favourite teacher I also met in grade 9, I had the pleasure of taking a grade 10 drama class, Mrs. Longely is the most incredible teacher I will ever have. She understands how we are and how we should be at our age levels and she goes along with it, instead of getting frustrated and ornery like other teachers. In grade 10, I had a huge maturity leap. It was like high school was my bridge to confidence. I instantly became more outgoing and confident in myself. The best part of grade 10 was Music Theatre. My high school put on a full length musical every year, that year it happened to be Willy Wonka. I will never be able to put into words how magnificent those 5 months were. If I have any acting talent that is why, if I have grey hair that is also why! The dancing, singing, building, sewing and acting, it was just like Utopia to me! I have said it before, I will say it yet again, it was the best 5 months of my life. I couldn't wait to do it again. Then I found out, I was moving.

The Beginning

So, I guess I should introduce myself! I am a typical teenage girl, I am in the twelfth grade and I am waay over dramatic, like most girls. So, I created this blog so that I can tell stories about my fails and successions in my life. It is a way for me to get me feelings off my chest and out of my way, I find the only way to do that is to tell people. Who better to tell than other people who are just like me or nothing like me. :)  Now I will tell you about my social life. I am a well liked person by most, I have never found anyone to talk behind my back (except a few) and those who did I had a problem with. So, basically I didn't care because I have friends who know me better than that. Also, I moved after my first year of high school, after living in the same town for 8 years. Yeah, ouch. So, I live in 30 minutes out of the town where I live now and that sucks because that means I don't get to hang out with the friends that I have made very often outside of school. My story begins earlier though. I will put that in another post. Goodnight!
